RO Water & Phosphate Levels Question

Greetings,

My RO / DI filter produces water that has a phosphate level of 0.1 ppm. I am wondering if this is a typical result for a RO unit. I was hoping for 0 ppm of phosphate to keep the algae away. My tap water starts off at 1 ppm phosphate. I'm using a Kent Marine De-Ionization Cartridge. Are there any better de-ionization cartridges available?

My LFS told me to expect some Phos even out of the best units. Try a Phos reactor. They are very inexpensive and will keep all phosphates out of your system.
