Roaches for dinner?

I feed my fish all sorts of household insects.

Me too- silverfish, spiders, crickets, roaches (though I personally don't have any.. whew), mosquito larvae, worms, maggots... Fish can't help themselves.

Lol thats hilarious, i laughed out loud in real life :)

I fed my tiger barbs an earth worm that I found in the front yard when I was helping my mom plant some flowers for the summer.

I just picked up the work, rinsed it off, and tossed it into the the tank alive.. My barbs ripped it apart and devoured it :) it was so cool to watch.. I wonder if thats how it really is in the wild.

I breed dubia roaches for my herps and fish. My large cichilds love eating them. But to play it safe just go to a pet store and buy a dozen crickets unless you know for sure the roaches didn't come in contact with pesticides.

how would you go about breeding roaches, the safer ones i mean....

Buy a starter colony. Get a 10 gallon aquarium a place a heat pad under the one end. Fill it with egg cartons for the roaches to hide in. They'll eat just about anything but I feed mine fish flakes, crushed dog kibble, crushed cereal, grated carrots and mango baby food for moisture. Keep them warm and fed and they'll do the rest.
