Roots Showing

i just planted th e following plants in my tank
Echinodorus Barthi "Broadleaf amazon"
Sagittaria pusilla "Dwarf"
Sagittaria subulata "needle leaf"
Vallisneria tortifolia "Corkscrew"
Cryptocoryne wendtii "Red"
Cryptocoryne wendtii "Green"
Cryptocoryne Lutea

most of them have some roots showing... not a lot lets say about 5 % of the roots are showing.. its hard to get all th e roots in the gravel. :(

well, my question is will the plants be o.k. can i let them be as they are..
or should i try getting all th e roots under gravel

i am planning to get Seachem Flourish Excel and Seachem Flourish this weekend... :rolleyes:
I have a 72 gal with 1.6666 wats/gal (No CO2)
I have 4 Zebra D, 4 Platies and 4 Teatrs also.. :)

If it bugs you, trim the roots.
 
harlock it does not bug me at all.. i was wondering it the plant will start to rot if th e roots are showing..


i am taking ur advise and getting Flourish Excel and Seachem Flourish.. :bowing:

Unlikely. If anything, the roots that are showing will firm up. This happens to Dwarf Sag plants that I don't quite get totally planted... an inch or two of roots will be showing, but within a month, they've turned green and hardened. Doesn't hurt the DSag.

Just wanted to add a voice to the "it's all good" bandwagon. If there's a good root system I usually pull my rosette plants up a little after I plant them until I can just see a bit of root. That way I'm sure that the rosette isn't burried.
