Ropefish has Cloudy Eyes.

I think it is popeye, possibly due to your tank being overstocked. doing WCs and keeping on top of water quality should help, and using melafix.

It could be early popeye. Are the eyes potruding at all? Is it possible to get a pic? If it is popeye then your best bet is a broad spectrum antibiotic.

Well I probably found some of the problem. My PH is 7.0ppm. Ammonia 8.0ppm. Nitrite 0ppm. Nitrate 10ppm. This is a few hours after a 50% water change, but I did add Stress Coat, Ammo Lock, Salt, and a Bio Chemical. The strange thing is the most versatile fish in the tank is the one ill and can allegedly live in "crummy" water. Not that I keep my tank crummy. I am probably overfeeding. I have trouble taking pics of my aquarium with the pics actually coming out alright.
And the tank isn't overstocked...yet. When you look at the tank...it's still roomy wit the consideration of fake driftwood w/ fake plants attached along with other fake plants. Maybe when the fish start growing I could run in to issues. The Pleco and Iridescent Shark may have to go. And I will be giving away my Black Tetra in the next few weeks to a friend who has 3 or 4 Black Tetras already. The fake driftwood is new and much of the fake plants....could that be causing any problems?
The thing to say to ur ammonia: "Down boy, Down!!" Way too high. Ammonia should be zero. Nitrites are a lil high too (or is it the nitrates, oh well). 50% water changes every day. Stop the Ammo-Lock (I learned the hard way) and get a gravel vac. Clean the gravel to get any bacteria out of the gravel. Keep on top of the water changes. If your ammonia was 8.0 AFTER a 50% water change, then it must have been much higher, causing your problems. Check your fish daily, and do regular water changes.

the fish is probably afflicted with cloudy eye and will lead to pop eye if not taken care of immediately. Actually, the way your parameters are, I'm surprised you other fish are ok. Are you sure you have a good kit? Some of them sit on the shelf a while and run their expiration.
How can I tell if I have a good kit? The Ammonia has never been as high but there has been a few treatments and problems with the bottom feeders such as the Ropefish. But sadly I just came home from work today and the Ropefish has died. Thanks to all who gave me advice. And yes it is surprising that the Angels are doing fine as well as the other fish if my Ammonia is really that high.
