Got a beautiful 3-1/2" Roseline shark last week and for the last 2-3 days has seemed to be agitated. Continuously swims up and down on one side of the tank. Will venture out some, but not alot and is eating, but not much. All water levels are good. 75 Gal tank – well filtered and good water movement. Tank pals: 4” Pleco, 4” Red Tail Shark, 5” Jurapari, 6 Red Eye Tetras, 5 Redltail Rasboras, 10 Black Neon Tetras. Got the Jurapari and the Roseline at the same time – from the same tank at my LFS (great place I trust). Jurapari is still very skittish, but seems to be getting better. Is the Roseline OK or should I be concerned?

These are normally very active fish that really need to be in groups. I have had a few for years and they are constantly moving. Go get 2 or 3 more and you will see a change right away. When they get some size you should view them from above as they get a beautiful deep green color with a fine light edging on their scales.

Oh boy! At $40 a pop, I can't go get 2 or 3 more this week! But it's good to know there's probably nothing seriously wrong. Will one more help?
They really are one of the more colorful freshwaters! Do you know how long they live?
