No clue how they'd do with the neons, but I wouldn't go with fewer than 6. That will likely max the tank capacity once they're adult sized, but they're neat fish and school well.

Is this a corner tank? How heavily planted will it be? Is the 4 rams 2 pairs and do you have them already? Kept them before? Might want to bump the neons up to cardinals so they are less likely to be eaten by the adult roselines. I'd go with 1 pair of rams, 6-8 corys, 15 cardinals and 6-8 roselines personally.

i just planted it today so it doesn't look too heavily planted but i believe it will fill out with time. 26610891_1541212565968972_293264424_o.jpg

Hmm, what are the dimensions of that tank? Roselines really need a 4ft tank. They are VERY active and also spook easily. I like the scape so far though. Although even once those plants fill in it will not be very heavily planted BUT you will get collectoris and probably end up with way more plants eventually. lol

Yeah probably lol I'm already thinking of getting more plants. My tank is 103 cm long, 43 cm wide, and 62 cm tall.

That is a bit less in length than myswtsins thought was minimum. I'd agree with that recommendation of at least 121cm in length. If they were any other type of shape other than the slim torpedo that would work, but just isn't enough length for their adult size and swimming speed capabilities.

While I agree with myswtsins, I could almost go with 4 or 5 roselines in your tank...after your plants grow a lot. I think red tailed rasboras (boraspetensis) are much smaller, but similar looking fish. They are highly underrated, not nervous & IME rock solid for health. Rummynose tetras in any of their species are kinda similar too but more delicate.

I'd go with 1 true pair of Bolivian rams & up the corys to 6 or 8. If you go roselines or red tailed rasboras (instead of rummies) you could lower the temp a bit, to say 73 or 74F. Really a few degrees of temp shouldn't matter much, but it can be the difference between ok-ish & long term health.
