Yup! My plecos have a fork for a tankmate. Just keep an eye on it, as the first fork I was using started to rust!
I tie fishing line to a lettuce clip, and attach lead plant weights to make it sink. Tie the other end of the fishing line to the suction cup and I can drop the lettuce clip in the tank and retrieve it without getting wet. I drop slices of raw zuccini in that way. All of my tanks have them hanging off the sides.

I have tons of driftwood in my tanks and I tried to feed the zuccini and algae wafers but he didn't eat and he died... sad.
