Depends on species, availability, and your general area. Most LFS don't truly appreciate fancy Plecos.
I've paid $30 for a 3" L191(my first, from Petsmart), $50 for a 3" L027(my second, special order LFS), then recently $60 for a 8" L027 and $60 for a 5" L330. The 8" was originally $90, but that LFS always gives me a hook-up.

The LFS here was charging $54.00 for the little guy I just bought, he is an inch long. However after talking with them for a while and I order fish often from them, they don't stock "unique" fish very often. I got my little guy for $20.00 Now I want a marble sailfiin.
