what does anyone know about rubber lipped placosomus?

i work at petco and we got these in this week. I was just wondering what you could tell me about them.

glad that you are taking ur time to learn about the fish you carry. Too many times no one takes any effort to do this and it is frustrating to ask questions and the response just be more questions...bah

The info on the "rubber spotted" pleco, may be a bit different from the info for a rubberlip or rubbernose pleco. Rubberlips only grow to about 4 to 6 inches and are safe to have with goldfish. I have 4 rubberlips with 2 comet goldfish and they are great tank mates and keep the substrate cleaned up nicely. Here's a couple links for rubberlips:

i think it depends on the individual fish. i had a tank emergency at one point and had to throw my black moor in my 50g. tank for a couple of days. the rubberlip took potshots at him several times, taking off scales and causing trouble. very territorial towards certain fish (the ones bigger than him, mostly) and fine with others.
