Mine loves cucumber. Boil it a few minutes so it will sink, but cool it before putting it in the tank so you don't burn your fish.
Rubberlips do like high current. I have a cascade 300 internal filter, because they produce a pretty strong current, and I point the outflow so water flows over a smooth rock. Rubberlips love to swim into a strong current, and mine used to swim up the current into my HOB filter, until I put mesh over the outflow so he couldn't.
