Rubbermaid stock tank

Sorry guys I prefer to see my fish from the side. I can relate to the money problem though so I am not going to push the point, but if you are handy you can make a tank out of ply then put a piece of glass for a veiwing window, then seal it with fiberglass. Just a thought.

Ash, I understand what you mean but these are the best things to keep fish outside. If you want to breed your fish, outdoor tubbin is the way to go. Add some live plants and just keep your fish in here, and whammo Fry.. :D
The colors of your fish will also be more vibrant and your fish will be in better health.
I actually want to get one of those Stock tanks that Gambusia has to keep live bearers in. It looks very nice and would seem to fit on my patio very nicely. I would a few water lilies there along with water hyathis.

They had those rubbermaid containers at the supply place that I got my metal one, I liked the way it looked better, but it got smaller in width at the bottom and had these 2 areas on the side that indent inwards so it took up too much room that the fish could have used.

I know where you are comming from tricksterpup. I just like to see my fish from the side. I agree they are the best and easiest way to keep fish in a large tank. Sorry I always have to add something different. :thm:

Mine has a lot more room that I thought.

One of my LFS uses the 150 gallon models to house fish and turtles.

This is where I first saw them used for keeping fish.

I wanted the 300 gallon model but had no room to put it.

So I got the next smallest- the 150.

Yeah I bet it would be good out on a patio full of livebearers and plants!

:thm:

If space is a problem they also make 70 and 100 gallon models.

Those are smaller but would make good patio tubs.
