Does anyone use ozone? I have a ozonizer and orp controller that i would like to use to clarify the water. Without a skimmer like in saltwater applications, can i directly add a air stone to my sump followed by carbon? Or can anyone share how they run ozone in their freshwater setup?

I don't run one, but I think they're a big improvement over UV. I'd be inclined to treat it as a "black box" system. What it does to your water can be pretty much independent of other treatment. Since the main function of the thing is to kill any free swimming beasties that are small enough to get into it, and to break down other pollutanting compounds, I'd put it as 1st thing in the path to the sump, then put whatever you like afterwards (carbon, if needed, etc.). An airstone shouldn't bother it as long as you aren't flooding it w/ air.
Right now I have a UV inline from the sump to the main tank, but it doesn't do much for clearing the water. Ozone did wonders in my saltwater tank. So let me make sure i understand you correctly...i don't need a ozone reactor to run ozone? I have read that freshwater folks are against running ozone without a reactor.
What ORP level do you maintain in a freshwater tank?...in saltwater around 400 was required. My ORP level is about 250 and its slightly cloudy in there.
