Can odotropheus Sprengerae be kept with alto comps? I kinda think not, but figured someone here would know better than me. Thanks!

I wouldn't put them together, Rich. Rusties are hyperactive mbuna and frenzied eaters. IMHO, the Altolamps have a too calm nature to be with the rusties.

okay... now this leads to another question... are they more hyperactive than cyps? because the altos have gotten along fine with blue flash cyps, and they sure seem awfully hyperactive to me! LOL...

But I don't think that the cyps can show the aggressiveness of the rusties, even when the rusties are considered a lesser aggressive mbuna species.

ah... got it. yeah... the cyps aggression is basically spread between them, and no other tank occupants.

okay... so no rusties then. thanks for the input... just as good, really, because truthfully, I need to get some more gold occies anyway!

You are welcome, Rich! You can wait for the opinion of other friends here, but I think that at least most of them will share my thoughts about this.

Looks like my instincts were right Rich, so we're both a little more educated today!:thm:

Mbuna + Milder Tangs = disaster buddy, Now Predator Tangs like Nkambe, Lemarii + Mbuna = just shy of OK

I have my Nkambe and Lemarii with Haps they are fine my Tang predators have nice size teeth to place their home occupants into check..

Be careful on adding Mbuna to any setup their like a light switch one moment their ok next they are on it like that..
