RX-P info?

day 6....

All is the same... the spots are not better or worse either. I have started to soak freeze dried krill with garlic extreme.. just to help the fishes keep up their appetite andenergy. The puffer seems not as sociable as before but is still coming out to eat when food is offered... the rabbit fish it seems don't know he's sick and is all over the tank as usual. the others show no sign of any infection other than that, there has been no change yet. I will keep this up for a week since treatment started.. after that, I will probably start a copper treatment...

Day 7 and 4th dose....

No changes.... note at all. Fish are still hanging in there though. I will add carbon tonight and do a 20% water change in the morning...

I will start a treatment of copper either tomorrow or the next day.

I have at the very least learned one good thing about all this.... Fish sure love garlic. :D

Anyhow, I gave it a full week following the manufacturer's full instructions to the letter. For me, I didn't see any results. I could have poured water in ang gotten the same results. I don't think it's wise to continue with RXP. Copper is still tried and true although I didn't want to go that way.....

Gave my puffer a fresh watter dip tonight... boy he was pissed.. always seems happier about 1 hour afterward though

Update:

It's been a while since last update, sorry. As before in my post, I went and started a copper treatment on mt tank. after 7 days, I can report that none of the fish show any signs of the disease .
Who-hoo!!!

I will continue the copper for 1 more week before I run the carbon and do the large water change. I thought ahead and took my fluidized bed filter out and hooked it to a 10 gallon tank before I added the copper. Like I thought, the copper knocked down my wet dry filter and amonia has been rising. I have kept this low by water changes. so far the fish seem fine. I will put the fluidized filter back in after treatment is over and copper is gone...

Will keep you all posted...
