Sad sad sad story for amazing up and coming fish store

"someone dumped chemicals into one of the store's main filtration systems"

Must have been two systems to take out both the FW and SW. I love it when reporters don't know anything about what their reporting on. Bummer for the owners. But one bright spot is the fact that "any publicity is good publicity", and their business will probably increase once they get restocked.

"Sorry opening that kind of business next to a popular already established one is stupid. I'm not gonna open my coffee shop right next to Tim hortons. I feel bad for the poor fish that had to die becuase of their stupidity and poor business decision. I'm just gonna wait patiently for the truth to come out then I will say I told u so!"

This was one of the comments in the article. People are just so cruel... as if they didn't already suffer enough.

If starbucks opened a coffee shop next to Tim Hortons, do you think Ol Tim would some over to starbucks and sabotage their coffee?

Seems like a pretty bad judgement to me. If I thought my LFS sabotaged another store in the neighborhood, they'd lose me as a customer. Stores are successful because of their products, pricing, and service. If you own a business and you are losing sales to another store MAYBE its YOU that needs to re think your marketing strategy.

Here in my area we almost always have similar business located within 5 minutes from each other. I know of 4 locations where there is a Home Depot DIRECTLY across the street from a Menards. and Mc Donalds across from a Burger king.

I was in on of my LFS nearby, and the owner was talking to a guy that owned a LFS down the block. They were discussing stock. They actually planned out what they ordered so if one store didnt have something, the other one did. and the knew what was at the other store and would send customers there to get it.

This kind of act is simply deplorable, and like I said, if I knew a business sabotaged another like that, I would never patronize them again. If you have to stoop to a level that low, then you dont deserve to stay in business, and I'll gladly pay someone with better business ethics.

That is absolutely horrible. All the large stores near me have all the filtration areas locked, the tank lids locked, etc. I think the main mistake that store made was to not put security cameras but it still should never have happened.
