How do these guys manage eggs? Can they be bred in home aquaria?

I'm asking because I found some sort of fry in my tank, too small to tell what it is. The only two options are SAE and Bloodfin Tetras. I have a group of 7 near full grown SAEs that i've had for awhile, and the fry moves more like an SAE than a Tetra.

Rare but never say never. Bloodfins more likely; how big's the fry?

I expect that like most carp they are egg scatterers who take no care of the eggs.

I'd say the fry is about 1/4-3/8" long. Whichever fish it is, this fry got lucky as I have lots of different fish that will happily eat fish eggs. Amazing that one lived and hatched.

And yeah, it probably is a Bloodfin, based on more observation.
