Salsa with a side of pain

Renee,
good to hear I'm not the only "freak" with hyper-senstiive skin! :D I'm just like you, I definitely can't use regular soap or lotions with chemical fragrances.
I have to be careful trying on used clothes, too, because just THAT will sometimes make my skin break out in hives. Yeah, I buy the generic Benadryl, from Long's or Target :) It does save me lots of money, since I pop those things like candy!

My current adventure with allergies is I got a few bug bites on the inside of my elbow. I scratched them and it caused the poison to travel up my veins, in a spidery pattern. The veins have turned purple, the bites have also turned dark and huge. So I look like a heroin addict!!! Thank goodness for antihistamines...

Sorry about the burn...but I am glad you feel better. I am amazed that can happen, I eat jalopeno peppers all the time :thud: I didn't realize that they could be so dangerous!!!

I am going out to buy some salsa now... :p:

I have never had a problem with jalapenos burning my hands, but I did once get some of this http://www.hotsauceworld.com/bl3amrepeex.html on my hand. I have never felt a burn that bad in my life. No wonder I had to sign a waiver to buy the stuff. If you want to compare it to Tabasco. Tabasco sauce has a scoville rating of ~5000, Blair's 3am has a scoville rating of ~2,000,000. That is not even the hottest sauce they make.

I think I've had a sauce of 5,000,000 scoville before on a challenge, don't remember the exact scovill rating but it was one of the hottest ones imported from Chile by my father-in-law.
