What types of salt does everyone use? I was using Seachem Reef Salt but was told it was just a step above what I am using to melt ice in the driveway..........grrrr.....looking for suggestions......(I am stocking a reef tank)

Instant Ocean. But mine's a FOWLR tank.

Instant Ocean in a 125 gal reef.

Go with a salt that's easily available in your area and stick with it.

Many people swear by Reef Crystals, but I've always used plain old Instant Ocean. It's a bit low on the Ca but that's easily rectified.

Anyone ever use TropicMarin Reef?

just a step above what I am using to melt ice in the driveway.

The salt I use is not better from the reefs salt study. I may switch to Tropic Marin Pro. This is a good salt all over the boards.

Was using Instant Ocean, then found out I was severely deficient in Calcium. Trying Oceanic (and monitoring Calcium). Too early for me to reach conclusions, though.

These links are very good .......looks like a toss up between Kent/IO/Tropic Marin......and if cost is an element IO would win as more bang for your buck?
