How much is too much for these guys when treating a tank, 1.5 tespoons per gallon seem right?

Works for me.

I am doing the salt treatment for ICH right now in a 55G tank. I am at day three with temp at 84F and salt at 1.5 tsp's/gal. The tank has four Cory cats, a large Common Pleco(8 inches) and lots of Tetra's. So far none of the fish seem to be stressed at all. I had heard/read that Cory's and Pleco's would not tolerate the high temp and salt very well, but so far that hasn't been the case in my tank.

Hope this helps!

my candystriped plecos do fine with salt treatments.

Pleco's IME are very hardy once acclimated. the trouble with them usually occurs in the first few days of bringing them home. After that, the armor plating kind of sums them up well. They don't seem to mind high temps too much either, as long as there is plenty of O2. Cories are a little more finicky, but should have no trouble with treatment levels for the short time you need to treat them.
