Saltwater Aquarium Cleanup

I have acquired a 90 gallon saltwater tank. The back of the tank has a saltwater residue that is very thick and tough.
I have tried the vinegar with a scrub pad with a razor head cleaner and a lot of elbow grease. It has taken a little of the residue off, but there is still a lot of residue left. I have barely phased the residue.
Does anyone have any suggestions.

Are you refering to calcium build up here ( either white or red patches ) ?? If thats the case, personaly, i would not worry about it...

if it was coraline algae i would hace left it. since you have used vingar in the tank while trying to remove it i would try to get all of it off and out now. it will take a while to do and is not an easy job. once you are done rinse tank out with lots of water to get rid of the vinegar.

Fill up the tank with water and a bag of soda crystals leave overnight
