Saltwater test kits for Freshwater ?

Does anyone know if Saltwater Copper test kits produce reliable results in a freshwater aquarium ?

My snails don't seem to reach their full size or die an untimely death and i have eliminated other potential problems like lack of calcium etc.

So i want to test my water for copper contamination.
There are many different copper test kits - which one should i get ? Seachem, Fastest etc ?

A saltwater one should work in freshwater, though the scale might be off, so it could be hard to determine the copper concentration. Many brands specify that they're good for both salt and fresh water. I'd probably go with an Aquarium Pharmaceuticals copper test kit as they're ussually the best value for money, readily obtainable and good for both marine and freshwater.

Well i was gonna order from drsfostersmith and it seems that
a) there is no AP copper test kit (i usually buy AP because of the things u mentioned)
b) all the Copper test kits don't mention if they work in FW.

EDIT: I have to correct myself - i just read that the Seachem is supposed to work in FW.

i have an AP copper test. they sell them locally. $11.99 i think and you pay shipping. LFS is like 5 minutes away from here. Just checked on mine and the plastic card says Freshwater / Saltwater. so it's the same for FW or SW. let me know if your interested (whatever the price plus shipping, i'll send receipt)
