saltwater with gravel?

i am hoping to set up a salty in a few years when i have decreased my fresh tanks and was thinking about substrate there would not be any buring fish.and im talking about the gravel you can buy for a freshwater tank the colored ones.

Will trap more detritus. I would stick with sand. jmo

Also, coral sand or aragonite will help buffer the ph. I have seen some cold-water tanks with a mix of sand and rounded gravel but not the clown puke you're talkin about. As said, will trap more crud.
