saltyfish's 225 tank tour

Fantastic set up. I love the rock work your tank looks great.

It looks great. Those look like some pretty mature corals. Very nice!

What do you think caused the hair algae and what did you do to win the battle?

Well, i am pretty sure when i switched everything to the new system, a lot of my equipment was not up to par for a system that had that much water. I changed everything, skimmer, salt, added another light to fuge, cheato to culurpa in fuge, calcium reactor, added bio pellets, cut back lighting in the show tanks.

How much light are you doing to your tank?

I'm having a really bad algae breakout, and have been having trouble controling it. Afraid I might have to do as you've stated, and upgraded all my equipment.

Really, really nice!!!! The Strawberry Shortcake is one of my all-time favorites along with the Setosa (reminds me to buy frag next time I'm at LFS :)). The tort is beatiful too but it is a SLOOOWWW grower.
