15gal should only house smaller shellies and juvies of other Tangs but not adults of Tangs that reach 4" or more..

thanks on the info about the xenos. i may look into buying some.

about the J. ornatus. they may not be as aggressive but they top out at 4inches. and for 4 of them in a 15 gallon. well that sure seems like alot. maybe as juviniles but once they are grown a 15g is no home for that many fish that size.

They aren't much larger then transcriptus and I had a nice breeding colony of 6 in a 10 gallon for 6 months...one male 5 females...until I could put them in a larger tank...its not optimal but it could be done with only one male.
