sand fountain build?

I built an almost complete fountain in 7 hours .its super sloppy and im not sure if it will work pics soon

Super lol. I just tried to test it and got nothing but bubbles so im gonna tweak it still no pics cant find my sd.any clue how the lift works?i assume that a vac is made from the rising air but i have 0 movement of sand.So does it suck or blow the sand
 
I think my sand is too heavy it is a reef sand bag and i believe it is artificial, but any way i have it out of the tank and the sand is pack in there .Im gonna give it its own pump to see if it needs more power
 
i would assume that the sand would sit on the air stone and when it lets off air it would disturb the sand. and consequently the bubbles rising upward would create a current that would carry the sand upward
 
I am gonna try carbon to see if it is the material weight..if i can get the mortar out of the feed tube
