My 75G FO with some live rock has been experiencing an algae bloom, most annoyingly on the sand. I have 6 turbo snails in the tank, but they're not interested in the sand. I need something to handle the algae on the sand. I'll admit that that my nitrate level is a bit high, and I'm trying to manage this with more frequent water changes. The algae grows in thin mats across the top of the sand.

Will sand sifters help?

I'd add some nasarrius or cerith snails. Both will spend lots of time in and on the sand, and help keep it clear.
