Sandy Tank Idea for Fire Eel

I finally did the whole substrate swap operation earlier today. I went with 25lbs. quick crete play sand and 50lbs. quick crete medium sand all washed. It took a while to remove all of the fish, gravel & decorations but the time was definitely worth it. I kind of like the new look with the sand substrate but I wish I could set up my tank to make it look much better. I wanted white sand but couldnt afford it at $16 per 30lbs. so I settled for the cheap sand and wish I could design the tank so it looks great. Anyone have ideas of a great setup for an arowana, black ghost knife fish, senegal bichir & fire eel?

Some nice fat branches, and a fat stump with lots of root structure, dotted with java ferns and a couple types of anubias would be my best suggestion. I think you're pretty limited by what you have living in there for decorating, aside from finding some really outstanding pieces of wood with a lot of character and placing some VERY hardy plants tied down very securely to them. That, and perhaps a really unusual looking rock for a focal point, but make sure it has no sharp edges of course. Maybe something really dark with white quarts striations that you can place to display those striations at an angle running upward from the substrate, or in evenly horizontal layers if the shape of the rock works well with that positioning. Just some thoughts... Hope they help.
