Santa brought me a digital camera, Tank Pics......

INXS-

Yeah, its a blue background. I used to do black, but it seemed to show off the green spot alage really fast. I found myself always cleaning it off every other day. But thats just me being lazy...

But yeah, I think black does bring out the plants even more. I can just turn the blue around next week and try it. I am really busy the next 3 days with work.

For the Co2, I can't seem to find a place that will rent me a tank? I can get my hands on a guage, but it might need re-building. Its like 20 years old. So I think buying new is my best bet. Safe from the get go...I don't need to take ANY chances with a presurized tank in my house and with my kids near by? If you know what I mean...

But again, buying one thing at a time isn't a bad idea. I will ponder it today....

THanks alot...

Fertilizers?

Your plants are looking real good!! What type of fertilizers are you using and at what dosage? Thanks... :)

joe-

The tank has 160 watts of NO flourescent lighting on it. Two double shop lights 1 with two chroma 50's and the other 2 ultra daylight bulbs. I run them both ten hours a day.

I dose 6 drops of PMDD every day at the Krib's mixture. I also add every other day 6ml of flourish.

I do 30% water changes every week. 50% was a bit much for me, and I seem to get less algae around a 30% change. Call me crazy but thats what works for me.

Every now and then I get an ocasional fuzz outbreak but it subsides after about a week or two of adding things differntly.

The driftwood is coming out this weekend because its getting BBA all over it. Its spreading to the moss thats on it. SO I want to save what I can of the moss. Plus it takes up more room that plants could be using....

Thanks for the coments..

Santa forgot to drop me off my camera for Christmas. Boo hoo. :(

But, I am glad he found your house to be able for you to take those nice pictures of your tank. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing the photos!
