Just over a day ago I got a yellow watchman goby. Since i have acclimated him a have seen him twice for two very breif seconds. I am worried about feeding him because he will not come out. I know about where he is hiding. I have been told to feed them twice a day so I assume that means they have a quick metabolism. How long can they go without food and how can I feed him?

It took my goby a couple of days to get used to my system..

I would just make sure you are placing some food near where he is hiding.. He should come out when he gets more comfortable with his surroundings. Just keep an eye on him and make sure he is still swimming etc..

Can I ask how did you acclimate him?

He is housed with a clownfish of the same length and a brittle star (puprplish brown) and I drip acclimated him for about two hours.

My guess is he is fine, what are you feeding him? If I really want mine to come out and play I put a few granules of cyclopeeze in the tank and he practically flies out of whichever cave he is in at the moment. (he has 3, the greedy thing)
