We started yesterday. It was kind of a cluster. I ended up giving kids a writing test for the English teacher, I'm a Math/Science guy. Today will be crazy again, but better.

To you guys wondering, elective doesn't necessarily mean you elect which class yourself. It just means the classes that are not the core subjects: English, Math, Science, Social Studies. It may be that your school requires certain other classes for a particular grade. Those would be electives, and since they are required by your school or district they bump out a class you'd traditionally choose like French or wood shop.
 
I always got to pick mine. And they were, besides gym, the only classes I got all the extra credit the teacher could give me. Math and social studies, not so much... - N
 
Yeah, the day I started middle school I got to choose electives. Never heard of not getting to choose them. Well, not getting the ones you wanted because they are full isnt un common.
 
I have been going to school year round for the last 6 years and will FINALLY graduate in January, oh to be back in high school where I got the summers off. Get your education now while you are young and your mind is still pliable once you become old and decrepit like me it isn't as easy any more lol

I know what you mean I finally decided to take a summer off this year for the first time in four years. Congrats on graduation. If u want to take more classes you can come take some classes for me. My major is aquatic biology so you may even like the classes lol

I'm from michigan, starting 10th grade after labour day.
in michigan, public schools can't start before labour day.

Tennis practice started a week ago though.
