Schooling Fish for 15gallon Community Tank?

My group of neons has slowly dwindled down to only 2 now and instead of just replacing the guys I've lost over the last year or so to bring the group back up to about 6 I'd like to consider some other options for a schooling fish in my 15gallon planted.

Currently, other than the neons left, there is a male betta, BN and clown plecos (each about 2-3", BN is a bit bigger), 2 ADF's, 4 amano shrimp, and a handful of ramshorn snails.

I have no agression issues. Betta never bothers anyone, but I'm still weary of getting something like guppies just because of the whole "bettas don't like other fish that look like bettas" thing.

If possible, though, I'd like to get a tightly-schooling fish that stays on the "smaller" size so I could put more than just 5-6 in there. If that's not possible (I know my stocking is a bit high already, although water parameters are always well within range) then that's fine.

Any suggestions are welcome. Just like to get some ideas so I can keep an eye out at my lfs's.

thanks :)

From my understanding the albino BN (which is what my guy is) stay under 4in. I've had him for about 6 months now and he seems to have stopped (or at least slowed down immensely from the first 2-3 months) growing.

A lot of people seem to like rummynose. Why?

Rummy nose tetras are very tight schoolers and that is something you said you would like to have in your tank. They are also very shimmery and I like the bright red noses. Another option could be some black neon tetras or even lemon tetras if your water is soft enough. Their coloring is quite awesome.

with my current stocking (minus the 2 neons there now) how many rummies could i put in there?

any particular reason why?
