Schooling Fish in 10g or 6g

Hello Everyone.

I have another question (I know, I have lots). I will be getting a larger tank soon and will have a 10 gallon and a 6 gallon tank that are empty I am interested in setting up a school in each one and would like opinions on good schooling fish that will stay small enough for the aquariums. I don't know of many good schooling fish, and the ones I've looked at so far seem to get a bit big. Thanks in advance, and I really appreciate all the information and suggestions from everyone so far.

10g can be done in many ways. further more, we from other countries may have different sized tanks as a standard.

The 6g may be too small. Since you have it, you should plan on using it maybe as a quarantine tank or a place to grow plants...

As for the 10g, maybe a small shoal of tiger barbs. They are active and will swim at levels of the tank. They are hardy, easy to sex, I don't know, I like being able to tell which is which in my fish.... Anyway, the males have darker dorsal fins with a black leading edge. Their colors are deceptively pretty, the more you look at them, the more you'll see how beautiful they are. I like lots of movement in my tanks and when I get my first big tank (100g or so) it will be built around a huge shoal of checker barbs.

Some neons would be good sinse they are small.

The 6 would be fine with a small school of dwarf cories, or a trio of the licorice cichlids. A single male, or a trio of female bettas would be fine as well. (Be sure you can maintain the right temp for these fish--mid 70's would be the minimum). If you could find tham and are interested, there are several species of killifish that would do well in a small tank.

For the 10...Hmmm. All my stuff is either smaller or bigger. I'd probably plant it, put in a pair of dwarf gourami (love the sunsets) and a trio of schwartzii cories.
