I cant find a picture of a monk tetra
The term "monk" was derived from the scientific name Moenkhausia hence the name is too broad. Try the list I posted above for you.
 
yeah I think that the harlequin rasboras are the best!! I have a small school of six in my 20 gallon tank and I think that they are pretty hardy. I kept enons and I had the same problem as you. they kept on dying!!! so I switched to these fellas and they do great! they have a very graceful schooling behavior too.

Arent those Red Eye Tetras? I use to have some. I took them back. They tip at my neons, cardinals and guppies.
