The Marine Betta's scientific name is Calloplesiops altivelis. They grow to a little more than 6 inches and are extremely shy. They will eat mobile invertebrates (ie Shrimp, Crabs, etc). They are closely related to Groupers so what fits in their mouth is dinner. Their minimum size tank is at least a 55 more preferably a 75 gallon. Hope this helps.

helps a lot actually thank you. im helping my girlfriend's family stock their 55 gallon tank, and im exploring all options.
