i got a 4 foot new tank and bought 5 new corys and my original one is happier than ever thanks to leperdess.

Rank snobbery! I've been in this hobby >50 years, and in time and experience I don't think I have been a novice in the lifetime of the majority of the folks on this board.

I have a species tank of Zebra Danios and consider them great fish.
