Sorry, I'm not sure where else to post this.
However, during the past month, I've noticed scratches on my 2 year old tank 55 gallon tank. What seemed like algae that I've missed scraping, b/c these "scratches" are long and thin. I have a metal scraper I use for scraping off algae. At first, it was just one long thin line, I didn't think much of it. Now that I've looked closer at the tank, I can see it in fact is algae growing into these scratches. I don't know if I just didn't notice these before or what. But it used to be just one line, now there are four lines.
My instinct tells me I need to get a new tank. Anyone else feels the same way? I'd prefer to dish out money for a new 55 gallon than to come home to an empty 55 gallon tank.
