I want to get a sea horse for my tank, it is a reef with other fish. Would this be ok, or would it not survive.

It will die. You need a super special tank setup with low current, no other fish and you need to be able to feed them numerous times during the day.

Amen, TKOS and you usually need to feed them live foods. They are amongst the hardest of the hard to keep alive.

You no longer need to feed live foods. All the seahorses commercially available are tank bred due to the ban on wild caught Seahorses. All commercially bred seahorses are trained to eat frozen foods, but they still require several feedings a day due to the fact they have not stomache. They are definitely a species only tank. Anyway, hope this helps and good luck!
