This past weekend i purchased a sea robin from my lfs. now i have read a few things on line about them but the pictures they have show a fish similar to mine but not quite the same ( different coloring, and no little "legs"). Does anyone know of a good website where i can find out more info on this guy? All i really know is he will get fairly big and will eat anything that will fit in his mouth.

There are several species of searobins--try searching on it as one word, and you should get better results. They are a bottom dweller, and walk along the bottom looking for food.

Your description sounds a bit like a flying gurnard...You may want to check that too.

you may want to look on www.fishbase.org -- search for searobins, gunards, etc -- they have pictures of many of the species (but not all unfortunately...)

Scott Michael's Reef Fishes Vol 1 has alot of the robins and gunards -- you may want to see if a local library or LFS has a copy you can look at...
