Seachem Prime?

ahhhh there we go. english lol.

but so if i test too quick it will show some levels of ammonia, when they may be absent or at a less level?

Correct. For this reason it would be best to do NH3 test before doing the water change so there is no mistake.

when do you guys test your water?

dont you wanna test after? or like really a day after to let it settle down to what the values will actually be for the week?

The information I care about and test for is: what levels am I at before a water change, and why is there a problem.

Therefore, when I used to test(I don't anymore), I test before a water change and when there was a problem.

After a long time, with no problems, I quit testing.

cause your the MAN jeffrey!

:iagree:

As a aquarium matures the need for testing goes down. I don't test for anything unless I think there might be a problem (which would be rare). The only thing I do now is watch my drop checker.

:)

what does that tell you? and what do you do accroding to the readings?

how would you do that with DIY?
