I just started trying this stuff in my 75 gal tank about a month ago. Loaded a media bag up and stuck it in my Hot 250. The results to date have been nothing but amazing. Now this is the definition of crystal clear water. Prior to this I had been using the micron cart. How many other people out there have tried this stuff and what have your results been?

I agree, it's spectacular - especially when used in a pressurized canister vs. just having the water run over it in a power filter.

It can even be recharged if you have the will to do so! (I don't)

My only complaint is that their special "bag" is super duper expensive, I refuse to pay $8 for a freakin' filter sock. And there is no other bag that I know of, that will contain Purigen by itself, without double bagging. So I just use pantyhose, which works but doesn't look very attractive and forget about recharging then ;) Also you can't really tell if it's dirty if it's in a brown/black nylon.

If I may be so bold as to scream the absolute greatness of seachem as a company

SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCCCCCCCHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEMMM!

RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKSSSSSSSSSS!

They are by far and away the only company who's products I have found to pass and raise the bar every time for every need.

Truly yes seachem is the best on the market IMHO>

Never tried their bag, just using the bag I got at the LFS, so far so good. I like the combination of the magnums and purigen the best. For those that think micron carts are great, purigen raises the bar even higher.

Platy, have you ever tried landscape fabric instead of nylons? Might work.......I am going to recharge for the first time today, based on others results, its not that difficult.
