I recently bought a 125 gal Perfecto tank and between the front piece of glass and the side piece of glass there are noticable air bubbles in the sealant not enough that it would seperate but they are there. Could it cause a problem or is that normal in larger tanks it measures 72x18x22.

about how big are these air bubbles? small bubbles in the seams are normal in pretty much any size tank. if they're around the size of a pin head or so there's no need to be concerned.

Oscar83 ya about the size of a pin head on one corner it runs almost the full length from bottom to 3" from the top and its right in the middle of the thickness of the glass.

yeah that sounds normal to me unless someone else thinks otherwise... if not i wouldnt worry, you'll be fine

if your real worried snap a pic for us to check out im sure youll get an answer then.....if your concerned about leaking you could always run another bead of silicone ontop of it(the aquarium kind!!!!!)

I had to use my phone and the flash was pretty bright but you can see the bubble line in the middle it starts 1" below the trim.

That is a very bad place for a bubble of any kind.
Especially if it runs almost the length of the seam
The seams are the structural integrity of the tank, the bead on the inside is the watertight integrity.
I would return the tank for a exchange, and be sure to thoroughly inspect any new tanks in the future.

I would not, repeat, NOT, trust this tank!

So its not a normal at all to have any bubbles in the seams at all or just small ones. Not ones that run the length from top to bottom?

So has anybody else besides me had any bubbles in the seam of there tank (where the front piece meets the side piece of glass). Because this is the second one I have recieved that had them. The first one i sent back to Perfecto Manufaturing and they sent this one brand new and all. Again its 125 gal tank.
