thats the extreme though, 50-68, its more typical to keep them at the higher end of the temp because how many people can supply a 50 degree tank?
a pond is more like it but then in the summer the temps would rise.
im sure those temps listed were for their wild temps, indoors with the average person its very hard to duplicate, granted it can be done (cold basement, chillers) but its not common
still even with those temps listed this fish is not hard to keep and isnt very demanding. try keeping a reef tank below 80 were temps are critical
i still think goldies should be kept alone regardless of the dojo's care. if ya wanna mix em go ahead its yer tank, who am i or anyone else to tell anyone what to do
