I've a fluval 303 filter. It has 5 small clips along the opening of the canister to lock down the lid. Today I replaced the carbon media but accidentaly broke one of the clips. Now I see a tiny stream of water seeping out of the filter. Anyway to replace the broken clip or fix this or do I need to buy a new filter? I hate to buy a new filter because of one broken clip.

Thanks

Unfortunately, I've had the filter for a few years, so I don't have any extra clips. The clip broke off the filter, so I don't know it can be replaceable.

The clips should have pins sticking out on the sides that slip into two 'u-channels' which are molded into the canister cylinder itself. Did you break these 'u-channels' or just the clips themselves?

C- clamp

If you broke the plastic that holds the clip, you can get a small c-clamp and use that to hold the top in that spot. I picked up a used tank with a 303 that had 3 broken clips and 3 c-clamps in theri place. I presume it works, I'm not using that one now, just keeping it as backup.
