self cloning crayfish are not rare but hardly ever free my LFS sells them for $9.99 each. Nice of you to offer them for just the cost of postage.

I think what you're going to have to do is get a small styrofoam cooler (check bait shops) and ship the bagged crays in that. Wrap the cooler in an unscented (look for cheapy generics) garbage bag as a precaution. Probably with a cool pack in the cooler, they sell these for your lunchbox at the grocery store. Add packing peanuts between the cooler and the box and you're good to go.

I wouldn't try shipping in flat rate boxes. Not enough room for 4-5 medium-big crays, I don't think.

These supplies shouldn't be too hard to come by, I would just charge about $10 in shipping fees to cover...plus added shipping cost of about $15, I would guess. Sometimes UPS or Fed Ex offers better rates than USPS if not using flat rate boxes. Just my $.02! ;)

Oh, here's a website I found helpful, as well:

I have shipped them in bags. I put in easter grass (or something similar) for them to latch onto. If you use the 3 mil bags, double or even triple bagged, they should do just fine.

Self-cloning crays are very neat. They are interesting and make excellent feeders for larger fish. They are just not nice to plants and sometimes each other.
