I am looking for a semi aggressive fish for my 40 breeder. Obviously I can't go too big. I am looking for the 4-6 inch range which along with the tank size really limits my options.

I just want one fish MAYBE two. I prefer a fish thats fast moving.

I would prefer a fish without teeth ( sorry if this seems like a silly request, My knowledge on semi-aggressives is limited)

The tank is cycled and running a Canister at 370 GPH , which contains Bioballs, Sponge filters and ceramic media. As well as a prefilter media.

I just realized I stated the media wrong

The Bottom tray has two types of filter floss as well as as a prefilter Media, Tray 2 has Bioballs, Tray 3 has Ceramic rings.

Tang cichlids. Obviously none that get too big, but you could a multi colony or something.

A Firemouth, or a Jewel Cichlid.

Thorichthys elliotti......
Archocentrus centrarchus and Archocentrus spinosissimus.

Is it only cichlids that you're after? Do they have to be larger?

How about some groups of barbs?

Small barbs would work if there are enough cover spots and hiding spots.
