Semi Aggressive?

Tiger Barbs are definitely semi-aggressive. In my experience, every time I've kept them with anything that's not fast moving and with little finnage, my tiger barbs wasted no time in beginning the nipping, even when kept in a decently sized school to reduce aggression.

I've never met a tetra with an aggressive bone in it's body. Then again, I've only owned a few species of them.

Neither of them has even bothered any of my bottom feeders, though like Steve said, make sure to provide them with hiding spots. Even if they aren't getting picked on, they'll be much more comfortable.

Are tiger barbs and tetras considered semi aggressive? What other fish might fall into this category? and finally, would these fish bother bottom feeders like cories?

Thanks!
I have 2 green tiger barbs and 2 albino tiger barbs and have to say, although they are playful, i have not witnessed them nipping at other fishes.....and they are kept with two glass shrimps and 5 sucking loaches and 2 sub aquatic frogs as bottom feeders, but mainly share with opaline, golden, red honey and pearl gouramis (1 of each) and they all get along fine the only fish to show a little of get out of my way is the opaline!

as for the tetras, there is absolutely no aggression in them at all.

one thing i did try when i get my tetras was to put the in the tank with the gouramis and instantly became food for them, so moved them into their own tank

Thanks guys!
I'm still on the fence. My cories are already really shy and we hardly ever see them, I might go with the tetras though.

Remember a Piranha is a tetra too.
