hey im just wondering what people pay for this fish.

I think they are like $6-8 and the albino ones like $14-20 for little 2" ones.

be prepared that they get BIG, though, like 1 or 2 feet. They'll also start to eat anything small enough to fit in its mouth (like all your fishies).

Senegals only get up to around 12".

yeah, other bichirs get bigger. that's what i was thinking of. i tend to think 55 gal would still not be big enough for a 12" P. senegalus, tho.

A 55 is fine for even a couple of senegals, although a 40 wide would be ideal.

Normally coloured senegals go for about $6-$10 for 3"-4" specimens and $15-$25 for 8"+ specimens here. Albinos typically fetch $24-$35 for 3"-5" specimens ( I have not seen an albino over 6" in a store here yet).

well i got a 30 gallon for my bday and he came in there will he be ok for a while? hes about 6in
