Does anyone have any experience with [FONT=&quot]Septaria species of snails? They're also called Abalone Snails. I would love to have some, but don't know anything about them...

Here's the pics of some I've seen...

I have these which are very cool. Neripteron tahitensis, or batman snails.

I love Batman snails, but they're a little pricey for me right now. :( Maybe in a month or two I can get some of those. :)

Septaria and Neripteron are both Nerite genera, and both with very limpet-like shells. I'd imagine their care would be the same as other freshwater Nerites.

Has anyone every seen one for sale anywhere? I had never heard of them until I found a pic of them on some random website.

Yeah, I've seen his here on AC and on Aquabid.

Wow... not seen those before... those are nice.

Doesn't Mgamer sell Septaria as well.. or it could've been another member.. msjinkzd? Sounguru?

They're usually sold under the common name of Turtle snail, Green turtle snail or similar variations.

You know what? You might be right. I had completely forgotten that I had heard of someone selling Turtle Snails. I just never put 2 & 2 together to get 4...lol.
