We purchased a new natural wood piece for our 40 gallon tank. We presoaked it but it still gave off a lot of bubbles when we installed it into the tank. We also discovered the next morning that it has leached yellow into the tank water. We checked the levels and it seems ok but we did a cleaning and changed some of the water just in case. Now, the light colored portion is growing this light purple slime! Is this ok or should I get this out of the tank?
