Change their sex?
I had read that it was possible for a female molly to change to male but...
I had 3 mollies, 2 females and a male. When I first got the 2 females, I saw the male chase one then the other attempting to mate with them. One of my females died after several weeks, and I just went to replace her.
When i brought the new female molly home, BOTH of my mollies were chasing her around looking' like they were trying to mate with her! The anal fin on the one that I was ABSOLUTELY positive was a female now looks similar to a male's!
Has anyone seen anything like this? And this puts me in an awkward position... although the new female is actually quite larger then the 2 older fish, they chased her quite a bit until feeding time (when she chased them lol) ... I'm assuming these 2 males will harry her too much... should I take one of the fish back to the pet store?
